About
Planting design,
faster and better.
PLAEON comes from the team behind The Landscape Library, designed and built with Omni2. We're putting a planting-design engine in the browser, so a plan that used to take days takes minutes, without giving up craft.
Our story
Why we built PLAEON.
PLAEON started with two people and a shared frustration. Christian Cueva and Jordan Felber met at Bjarke Ingels Group in 2019, working together on BiodiverCity, BIG's prize-winning master plan for Penang's South Islands. Even on a project at that scale, the same thing kept slowing the work down: planting design. Laying out beds, choosing species, and producing the landscape drawings took days, the same bottleneck they both remembered from studio.
They went separate ways in 2020. Jordan founded The Landscape Library, which grew into a community of more than 12,000 designers and growers. Christian went deeper into landscape architecture, designing from concept through construction at firms like SCAPE and Field Operations, then founded Omni2 Design in 2025 to build digital products for the AEC industry.
In the summer of 2026, Jordan reached out with an idea: put a planting-design engine in the browser and give that lost time back to designers. They started building PLAEON together, Jordan as CEO and Christian as CTO. It handles the parts a computer is good at, the layout, the packing, the drafting, and leaves the judgment to the designer. The name says it: Planting Logic, Adaptive Ecology, and on. Play on.
It's in private beta now, shaped week to week by the people designing real projects with it. It's the tool we wished we had back then, and we're building it for everyone who has felt that same friction.
What we believe
Principles behind the tool.
Native and climate-adapted first
Every plan starts from species suited to the site and the climate, not a generic catalog. Right plant, right place, by default.
Design that looks designed
Planting should read as intentional drifts, not scattered dots. Our layout engine packs plants into a dense, naturalistic mosaic.
Real deliverables
A plan is only useful if someone can build from it. PLAEON outputs sheets drawn to scale, with a title block and a schedule.
The designer stays in control
PLAEON assists, it doesn't replace. You set the site, the zones, and the palette; it does the slow drafting and layout work.
The team
Who's building PLAEON.

Jordan Felber
Co-founder & CEO
Horticulturist and founder of The Landscape Library, a community of more than 12,000 designers and growers. Jordan worked at Bjarke Ingels Group before building the plant knowledge base that PLAEON's library grows from, and leads vision and plant data.

Christian Cueva
Co-founder & CTO
Landscape architect turned product builder. Christian designed from concept through construction at SCAPE and Field Operations, worked at Bjarke Ingels Group, and founded Omni2 Design to build digital products for the AEC industry. Leads product and engineering.
