How it works

From a bare site to a buildable sheet, in three steps.

The same three steps you'll use in the app: Draw, Planting, Sheet. A fourth, Render, is on the way.

1

Draw

Trace your site boundary or drop in a survey, set the scale once, then paint your planting zones.

2

Planting

Pick a palette of climate-adapted plants and generate a naturalistic, non-overlapping layout. Reshuffle until it sings.

3

Sheet

Export a dimensioned, title-blocked sheet drawn to scale. PDF and PNG, with plan and elevation views.

Features

A pro tool, not a toy.

Algorithmic planting

A living plant library

Native and climate-adapted species, each with a plan symbol and a realistic render.

Plan + elevation

See the beds from above and at eye level, in the same click.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What plants are in the library?

Native and climate-adapted species, each with a plan symbol and a realistic render. We're starting with California and expanding region by region.

What can I export?

Dimensioned, title-blocked sheets drawn to scale, with plan and elevation views, as PDF and PNG. A sheet your installer can build from.

How much does it cost?

The private beta is free. Join the waitlist and you'll help shape pricing before public launch.

Do I need to be a landscape designer?

PLAEON is built for pros, but the flow is simple: draw, zone, generate. Anyone comfortable sketching a site can use it.

Can I use my own site plan?

Today you trace the boundary and set the scale by hand. Scaled site-image import and guided onboarding arrive in open beta.

Does it work on mobile?

The mobile experience is still in development. You'll be able to review a plan, make quick edits, and share a PDF right from the field. For now, PLAEON works best on desktop.
